The original cover to my firepit was torn over the winter (my fault for leaving it out but it was also very thin). This cover seems like it would hold up well against the elements because it is thicker than the original and is simply made better. It fits my 30 inch square firepit perfectly and when it rains the water runs off and leaves the pit dry. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it.
