Light rain or hard.Very unhappy customerI purchased this cover to protect my newly-purchased patio table and chairs from the late-summer stormy weather and was very disappointed in how it performed. The cover did almost nothing to stop water from getting through to the chairs and soaking the cushions. I get that "water resistant" and "waterproof" are two very different things, but I very much expected that the cover would do a little more resisting water than it did. I returned it. If you are looking for protection from the sun, then maybe this would be fine. Otherwise, spend a few more dollars on something better if you want water protection.
